Buckethead knows about as much as I do regarding this. It's the big ol' tree stump that sits on display at Detweiller Park. If anyone knows more about this, please enlighten us.

Large tree at Detweiller Park!
I read once that it is a redwood stump that was a gift from California.
Behind the "slice" is a large section about 20ft long laying on the ground. You can see the shadow of it in the photo.
That was one hell of a heavy load.
I think there's a plaque near it. My fault for not reading it!
it came from CATERPILLER
back in the 40's
the ceo was leaving office and they told him do something with he gave it to the peoria park district then i heard they used it in demo to see if the cat can move it or not the old worker's up there had to nail the bark back on when it drop off ..but it is a redwood
How Old was this tree?????
